Buzz Ad Agency Earns Recognition as a Certified Woman-Owned Business
There’s some exciting news and much to be buzzing about this new year in our hive! Recently, Buzz received the official certification as a Woman-Owned Business by members of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC)!
Tammy, our fearless leader, and Queen Bee, has been bizzy at work, piling on extra hours working with the WBENC to help Buzz receive this acclaimed business distinction. Kudos to Tammy for all of her hard work, late nights, early mornings, detailed presentations, and more to help our business receive this honor!
What is the WBENC?

Founded in 1997, the WBENC is the country’s leader in women’s business development and the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women. The WBENC boasts more than 17,000 certified Women’s Business Enterprises, 14 national Regional Partner Organizations, and more than 350 Corporate Members.
There are 13 million women-owned businesses in the U.S., representing 42% of all businesses. This is an incredible stat, but many of these female-led businesses are yet to be certified. Moreover, there is a significant disparity in revenue and capital between these businesses and others in the country. The goal of the WBENC is to help bridge this gap and foster growth. The WBENC believes that women-led businesses can reach their fullest potential and grow their revenue when their employees and supporters join forces to succeed together. Getting certified as a Woman-Owned Business is a big step in the right direction in today’s professional business sector, further exemplifying the positives that come along with female leadership and collaboration in the workforce.

Tammy would never say it, but we all know that as the worker bees at Buzz, we would not be where we are today without her leadership, drive, commitment, and relentless positive energy day in and day out!
